For HEY BUURVROUW, a short documentary portrait was created around Dian Boer; as part of a broader reflection on how little we truly know about the people living next door. In a time where neighbours often remain strangers, the film seeks to gently reopen that door. By stepping into Dian’s daily life, the documentary reveals what usually stays unseen: her passion for painting religious icons, her deep love for her animals, and the quiet rhythm of her everyday world, shared with four cats and two dogs. Through conversation and observation, Dian speaks about her devotion to her craft, her faith, and what moves her on a daily basis.
